The 2nd Annual Art for Animals Charity event has been schedule for March 15 th from 6pm-9pm when Blackbird’s Bowl, Natural Pet Foods & More will open its doors to their charming boutique at 221 Liberty St. in Downtown Morris to bring together pet lovers, art connoisseurs, delightful music and delicious food and wine. All proceeds from the event will benefit Adopt-A-Bull English Bulldog Rescue and Just Animals Shelter.

“Well, I love to throw parties, I love art and I love animals…I love the idea of somehow supporting the people that do the things I can’t do – the people that work tirelessly on behalf of the animals that need help are heroes and I want to be involved on some level,” says Blackbird’s Bowl owner Tammi Janel about her inspiration to create the annual charity event.

Margie Glass Sula Fine Art has again donated a commissioned piece of art on behalf of The Gutter Dog Project for one lucky raffle winner. What’s more, each ticket to the event includes a chance to win a custom charcoal drawing of your own pet(s). Tickets are $65/person or $115/couple and also include your entry to the special event with silent auction, an exquisite food menu and live jazz by Jason Steele. Tickets are on sale now and are limited to the first 30 people.

Blackbird’s Bowl is excited to have Margie Glass Sula Fine Arts collaborate on this event again this year. When asked what she was most excited about this year, Margie said, “I am very excited to see the wide array of items and artworks that come in for the event’s silent auction, and having people come together again to enjoy the evening. There are some of the same artists donating new works this year, and many new artists. We have a hand-engraved stainless steel dog dish coming this year by a well-known artisan, traditional oil paintings, ceramic pieces, and so much more. But on a serious note, I have to say the one thing that I am excited most about is hearing the evening’s totals that will go to the animals in the care of the rescue and shelter…the animals that will get veterinary care now, the one that will get another dish of food until someone steps up to adopt them.”

Tickets are limited and advance purchase is recommended as Blackbird’s Bowl expects to sell out prior to the event.  Contact Blackbird’s Bowl, Natural Pet Foods & More today at 815-941-9311 or sara@westsuburbandog.com for more information, to purchase your ticket(s) and make silent auction donations.
