Every spring and summer, “kitten season” arrives and animal shelters are inundated with homeless cats and kittens. To help address the need and provide more cats and kittens with loving homes, Hinsdale Humane Society is celebrating Adopt-a-Cat month this June with a variety of events and activities.

“June is traditionally the busiest month in terms of the number of cats and kittens that arrive at our shelter,” says Jennifer Vlazny, HHS Operations Manager. “Now is the perfect time to adopt a feline family member. You’re not only giving a homeless animal a wonderful forever home, but you’re getting a loving companion in return.”

Families adopting a cat or kitten in June will receive a special Adopt-a-Cat Gift Bag, which will include feline treats and toys. In addition, a special raffle is planned with several cat related prizes. Find your next family member and stop by the shelter to meet all the cats and kittens waiting for their forever homes.

Hinsdale Humane Society is located at 22 N. Elm St. in Hinsdale. To view a complete listing of cats and kittens available for adoption, visit their website at www.hinsdalehumanesociety.org or call 630-323-5630.
