3. Explore great dog-friendly hiking and bike trails: The western suburbs have superb hiking and bike trails. Just find a list of trails in the area and pick one! Always bring some water and treats. 5. Indulge in pooch pampering: Who wouldn’t love to be a pampered pet surrounded by extravagance? Dog spa massages, haircuts, nail trimmings, teeth cleanings and a nice bath would spoil anyone. Although not for every dog, this can be a fun experience if your pooch is already well-socialized and comfortable with large groups of strange dogs and people. 8. Experience dog-friendly dining: Did you know we have a restaurant in the western suburbs just for dogs? It’s true! Wiggle Waggles ( www. wigglewaggles.webs.com ), in downtown Geneva, is an eatery specifically for dogs. With a great bakery and colorful atmosphere, it’s a no-brainer for doggie gifts and parties. Of course, there are also enjoy many “people food” restaurants throughout our area that allow dogs on the patio during the warmer months.
