three cats! Diesel can frequently be found dashing around the house when he and his brothers get the zoomies or studiously watching TV, seated with his butt on the couch and his front legs on the floor.

Diesel is especially bonded to Dan, who often takes him to Montrose Beach. Diesel and his pack-mates race into the water, splash around with the other dogs and have the time of their lives. A smart boy, Diesel loves ice cubes and is at just the right height to activate the ice maker on the refrigerator door. He’s taught himself to nudge the ice maker, and if it isn’t locked, he helps himself and his brothers to all of the ice in the machine!

He also has a social conscience and is happy to help family and friends with their annual “House Haunt” charity event, “Souls of the Forsaken.” Diesel has a very realistic zombie costume, complete with exposed brains and skeletal features, which he wears to greet the folks who come to traverse the haunted house. The set takes all year to plan and about two months to build, but it’s time well spent. Last Halloween, over 3,000 people came through and Diesel helped raise over $8,000 in food donations for Green Harvest Food Pantry!

Above all else, though, Diesel is a family dog. He loves and is loved by the entire household, both two-legged and four-legged. Always up for a belly rub, intuitively knowing who needs a “sneak-attack” kiss, or when someone needs to be leaned on and listened to, Diesel is always spot-on!
