When Nadia Lopez and her husband first met Nahla, she was part of a large litter of Australian Cattle Dog mixes at the Tails Humane Society in DeKalb. Back then, the adorable little pup had so much energy and such an outgoing personality
that the shelter staff gave her the nickname of “Zip.”

Not much has changed in the years since she’s become a member of the Lopez family and, even now, she is the bolt of energy that invigorates their pack.
From playing forward with her miniature yellow soccer ball to romping with her canine sister Lily to spending a long day at the park or attending a dog-friendly parade, Nahla brings fun, energy and joy to everything she does.
Nahla has a softer side, too, and one of her greatest strengths is her easy disposition. She understands when it’s time to be mellow and this well-balanced personality wins over everyone she meets, dogs and humans alike!
Nahla takes making friends so seriously that when she met Nadia’s brother’s two Great Danes for the first time, she refused to let a 130-pound size discrepancy deter her from befriending them. With her Cattle Dog spunk, she made such an impression, in fact, that the family made her a honorary Great Dane.
Above all, though, she is a dedicated member of the Lopez family. For Nahla, life is all about making her family better, stronger and more united through her energy and joy!
