Sunflower is a smart working dog — she loves to please! This poor girl came in nursing a whole litter of puppies when she was nothing but a skeleton herself. Now that her puppies have all found homes and she’s regained her health, Sunflower is ready for her happily ever after! Sunflower loves to play tag and seeks love and attention. She is a two-year-old Fox Hound/Pointer mix. If you would like to meet Sunflower, please e-mail our adoption coordinator at hopefultailsadoptions@westsuburbandog.com.

Founded in October 2013, Hopeful Tails Animal Rescue began as a foster based organization, but quickly began growing by leaps and bounds. In the spring of 2014, they began leasing a facility in Joliet and, to date, Hopeful Tails has adopted out around 600 dogs and puppies. They are a no-kill, all-breed, all age and all medical needs 501c3rescue completely run by volunteers, pulling dogs and puppies from high-kill shelters, both locally and out of state.
